Sandra Mummified on the Balcony of a Trans-Atlantic Cruise
Yup. You read that right. I was coming back from BoundCon Germany and took a couple of weeks to visit friends in Italy and the UK. Instead of flying back to the states, We took the Queen Mary 2 from Southampton to NYC! The north Atlantic was quite chilly and overcast, so I didn't get tied up much outside, but one afternoon the clouds broke and the sun shined through! It was still cold but I wanted to be bound on the balcony so bad! Then I had an idea...a Mummification! It's super warm under all that plastic and super snug! So i was helped into a tight wrap of plastic and hopped to the balcony. The seas were semi calm, but enough to make the ship list a bit, so as a gag, my head was tethered to the post to keep me from falling over. It also helped create prodigious amounts of drool! :-) Have fun watching the waves roll by as I struggle!
